There are three mayors around here – Huyton, Halewood and Knowsley. One year one of the Mayors turned up in shorts and a T-shirt to the Show and we didn’t want him hand out prizes – I mean, a Mayor is meant to represent the pride of a place, focus attention and respect. Lots of people weren’t happy with our decision, but we still think it was the right thing to do.
