It’s not unusual for flower shows to grow from allotments

It’s not unusual for flower shows to grow from allotments. When we moved to Connah’s Quay the original allotment site had been replaced by a car park. I discovered that there was a ‘law of the land’ from the Second World War which stated that every Council should supply allotments if 22 people wanted one. So, I went into work and got 22 names and addresses and went to the Council and got allotments in Connagh’s Quay.
