Sandringham

In the mid 1990s, Dennis Martin and some others from Whiston Gardening Club wanted to show and compete at the Sandringham Show, which is a very posh one, where you have to be invited. He was keen on promoting Shows, partly because every year it seemed that a growing show had disappeared. This was before the Knowsley Show started – like 1998. I honestly don’t know how Dennis got the invitations to show at Sandringham. We won prizes. It was all part of the momentum that resulted in the Knowsley Show.
