 We had a good life with the dahlias. With my wife Beryl who was into growing dahlias as well, we’ve been with friends from the NDS on holidays to Malta, Spain, Cyprus and Portugal. I went to Holland with them to see the dahlia fields and we were often asked to the nurseries over there. I would come back with a case full of bulbs of all kinds for my wife. The hotel was nice and we had good meals, we would usually stay for 3-4 days.
